Fine art photography by Craig Boehman.
My characters are made up of borrowed pixels from real portraits that I've taken. I don't use other people's pictures. In my book, that's borrowing too much from others' creations. The challenge then becomes, what to do with these pixels already perfectly formed? What I did with this one is use the mirror image of one side of the face and pasted it onto the other side. I then had to Frankenstein the two halves together in Photoshop, which involved a bit of work. Then it was a matter of creating the illusion of being a real person. The hair has to be slightly different on each side, lighting has to be adjusted, along with coloring and textures.
India Lockdown Special If you're interested in having one of your own pictures turned into someone different, I'm offering a flat rate of 99 Euros until September 1, 2020. Inquire within!
